Adjustable focus system is based on sliding TIR-optics, which in combination with Cree XP-G2 LED, allows getting both throw and flood light. Without “tunnel effect” that is common for zoom-flashlights, and without additional optical losses in focusing.
Cree XP-G2 LED provides output up to 400 lm (when working with Ni-MH batteries) and up to 300 lm (when working with alkaline batteries). To avoid the overheating and to increase the operating time, luminous flux starts to fall down gradually to stabilized 150 lumens after 3 minutes of working.
Neutral white LED with light close to the sunlight (4000-4200К) provides saturated and high quality image.
Combination of modern LED and high quality TIR-optics provides powerful narrow light with throw distance up to 180 m according to ANSI standard. The light can be also unfocused for using on short operating distances.
Optional memory of modes
The memory of modes can be deactivated to increase the operating time. The flashlight will start from Med mode.
Effective operation in high power is provided by smart heat removal system which includes LED direct soldering on copper MCPCB with Direct Thermal Path technology.
Four brightness modes – 300-150 lm, 60 lm, 20 lm, 2 lm – allow choosing the convenient illumination level and working time depending on the tasks.
The flashlight is not leakproof because of adjustable focus system design, but it is still secure against dripping and splashing water.
Battery discharge indicator LED in the button glows with red color when the battery is low.
Two additional red LEDs can be used to save night vision in darkness.
